PikSpec — Website Inspector

Help and support

Help with inspection, saving, exports, your account and privacy. You can contact support without signing in.

Site access and inspection

Open a normal HTTP or HTTPS page, open PikSpec — Website Inspector from Chrome’s toolbar, and choose Grant access & analyse. Accept Chrome’s site-access prompt to continue. You can then explore Styles and Media or select an element in Inspect. After navigating or changing tabs, choose to analyse the new page again.

Chrome blocks inspection on its internal pages and some protected pages, including the Chrome Web Store. Try the practice page linked above if a page is unavailable. Declining access leaves the page unanalysed. To review or revoke access, open Chrome → Extensions → Manage extensions → PikSpec — Website Inspector → Details.

Sign-in and connection problems

Saving to your workspace and using account-based allowances require a PikSpec account. Sign in from the extension and complete the PikSpec sign-in window. If the window is cancelled or the request expires, start a fresh sign-in from the panel. If an email verification is required, complete it before retrying. Use password recovery on the sign-in screen if you have forgotten your password.

If the website signs in but the extension does not, note the error and your extension ID from Chrome’s Manage extensions page, then contact support. Do not send a password, sign-in code, verification link or session token. Avoid clearing extension storage or reinstalling while you have an unsaved capture or export you want to keep.

Saving and screenshots

Save opens a review of the information being sent to your private workspace. Desktop, tablet and mobile viewport screenshots are optional; their checkbox starts selected. Clear it if you do not want those screenshots uploaded. Cancelling the review does not upload that capture. Sign-in, allowance and security requests can still occur separately from saving page content.

Keep the page you reviewed open while saving. If you navigate or switch pages and PikSpec asks you to review again, return to the intended page and start a fresh review. If a save fails, keep the panel open and use its retry option. Check that the capture opens in your workspace before treating it as saved.

Chrome may show a debugging notice while PikSpec verifies a rendered font or captures responsive screenshots. PikSpec ends the debugging session afterward and restores viewport settings. If screenshots are unavailable, close that tab’s DevTools and retry, or save with the screenshot option cleared. Screenshots can contain visible personal information and are not automatically anonymised.

Tokens, media and Clone exports

Tokens exports the design values measured on your selected page. Copying a prompt or downloading tokens does not send them to an external AI tool. Generation and some download actions may still check or record your account allowance. If the result looks incomplete, wait for the source page to finish loading and analyse it again; unsupported or inaccessible page content may not be available to export.

Clone creates a static design reference. It does not reproduce the original website’s server, account system or checkout. Media and fonts may be missing if the source blocks access, requires a session or changes after capture. Review any missing-resource notice. Use the downloaded archive only for content you are permitted to capture and reuse.

Recognised password and credential controls are excluded from cloned form values, but other text, markup and images can still contain private information. Review exports before sharing them. Local downloads remain on your device until you remove them, even if you later delete a workspace capture or your PikSpec account.

Export, deletion and privacy requests

Open Account → Data and privacy → Download account data for your account summary. It includes up to 100 capture-index entries, not every captured file. Export individual captures separately if you want to keep their files; contact support if you need help with a broader access request.

Moving a capture to Trash keeps it recoverable. Permanently delete it, or use Account → Data and privacy → Delete capture data to remove saved captures without deleting your login. Use Delete account in Account settings to remove the account as well. If a deletion reports an error, retry or contact support; do not assume it completed.

A file upload that was already in progress can require a later cleanup pass after deletion. The privacy policy explains delayed cleanup, billing records and backup retention. Uninstalling the extension removes its local storage, but does not delete your cloud account or downloaded files.

You can revoke extension sessions from Account settings and site permissions from Chrome’s extension settings. To change optional analytics consent, open Privacy policy → Cookies and optional analytics → Manage privacy choices. If you cannot sign in, email support with your account email and the request; we may need to verify ownership. Never send passwords, verification links or card numbers.

Billing and allowances

PikSpec is free to install and offers paid features and subscriptions. Account settings show your plan, remaining allowances, invoices and subscription controls. Use those controls to manage or cancel your subscription; uninstalling the extension does not cancel a paid plan. Dodo Payments handles payment details and checkout.

If a charge or allowance looks wrong, contact support with your account email, the transaction or capture identifier and the approximate time. Check the workspace and account usage before repeating an action whose result is uncertain. For a refund request, include the transaction identifier and reason so we can review it under the applicable payment terms and consumer rights. Do not send full card details or payment credentials.

Report a problem or security concern

Tell us what you were trying to do, what happened and the steps that reproduce it. Include your Chrome and PikSpec extension versions, the error message and approximate time. Add a page URL only if it is safe to share; remove private query parameters and access links. A screenshot can help after you remove personal information.

A short description is enough to start. Do not email a complete capture, clone archive or browser log unless support requests a specific file and you have reviewed what it contains. For a suspected security issue, use the email above with Security report in the subject and describe the problem without including live credentials or other users’ data.

Report content

Use the support email to report content you believe should be removed. Include the affected PikSpec capture link or identifier, the original page URL if relevant, and a brief explanation of your concern and relationship to the content. Send only the information needed to locate and review the issue. Do not publish someone else’s private content to make a report.
