What font is this website using?
PikSpec is a Chrome extension that tells you which fonts a website uses. Open it on any page and Styles lists every font family in use, with the sizes, weights, line heights and letter spacing that make up the type scale. Click any piece of text to see its exact font.
The font that actually rendered, not just the CSS
A CSS font-family usually lists several fonts, and the browser uses the first one it can load. Most font finders read that list and report its first name, even when the visitor never saw that font. PikSpec checks the font evidence on the rendered page and can verify which face was really used. Chrome may briefly show a debugging notice while it does this.
How to identify a font in three steps
1. Open the website in Chrome, open PikSpec from the toolbar and choose Grant access & analyse.
2. Open Styles to see every font family and the full type scale on the page.
3. To check one heading or paragraph, open Inspect and click it. You get the family, size, weight, line height and letter spacing, and you can copy the family name.
The whole type scale, not one font
Knowing the font is half the answer. Good typography comes from the sizes and spacing around it: how big the headings are, how tight the line height is, how much tracking the labels use. PikSpec records each step of the type scale so you can see the system, then export it as CSS, Tailwind, SCSS, JSON or a DESIGN.md for AI tools.
Export the type scale as design tokens · Inspect any element’s CSS
Found the font? Check the licence
Many web fonts are licensed, so finding one does not mean you can use it. Knowing the rendered family, its weights and its tracking helps you decide whether to license it or pick a close free alternative.
Free to use
Finding fonts and inspecting text are unlimited and free. Token exports come with a free allowance each month, and one-time credit packs add more.
